Online Retailer Posts Image With Photoshop Instructions Left On

In a giant “whoopsie,” clothing retailer Net-A-Porter accidentally posted a photo on their website of a model wearing a bomber jacket with white shirt and a green plaid skirt - except the pic also had blue arrows showing where they wanted retouches and included a note to “please, slim.” Talk about a Photoshop fail!

A spokesperson for Net-A-Porter says the Photoshop instructions weren’t about the model herself, but were referring to the products."We post images that accurately represent the garments so that customers receive product they expect," she says. "This image was uploaded to our product page in error and the notes refer exclusively to the garments."

It only took a few hours before they realized their slip-up and replaced the image with one that doesn’t include retouching notes. And Net-A-Porter is only the most recent company to get in Photoshop trouble. Last year it was Victoria’s Secret for airbrushing a model’s booty and last month people called out “Vogue” for messing with models’ appearances on their diversity issue.
