Walmart Cashier Randomly Buys $100 Of Groceries For Family

When Ashley Jordan, a South Carolina mother of three, was at a Walmart in Columbia doing her grocery shopping, she was treated to a random act of kindness from her cashier. Jordan and her husband had two carts full of food as they were checking out and that’s when cashier Sharnique Dasant told the couple they looked like they needed a “blessing.”

“She said ‘I think y’all need a blessing tonight!’ And she waked around to the machine and swiped the card,” Jordan explains. “She said ‘God told me to bless y’all!’ I said ‘Are you serious? Okay, thank you!’ ”

Dasant insisted on covering half of the grocery bill, so she paid $100 of her own hard-earned money to help these strangers out. Jordan was blown away by the generous gesture and posted a photo she took with her cashier to Facebook, where it’s received more than 30,000 likes. “It has opened my heart,” Jordan says. “I plan on paying it forward in the future.”
